Olympic gold medalist, Mark Spitz is noted for saying, “Life is true to form; records are meant to be broken.”
For eighty-one years, the Baptist University of Florida (BUF) has remained committed to preparing men and women to serve the Lord with their calling. While much has changed at BUF within the last 21 months under the leadership of its new President Clayton Cloer, the university is now training more men and women than ever before. The university set a record for its largest student enrollment of 686 students this fall semester representing a 90% increase from Fall 2023. Of this new record, 388 new students were admitted to the university this fall.
As Florida’s only Baptist University, BUF’s commitment remains strong and unwavering to serve faithfully the state of Florida. BUF has eight locations for study in Florida including its flagship residential campus in Graceville, BUF-Calvary College in Clearwater, BUF-Ocala, BUF-Hispano in Orlando, and four BUF-Miami locations that serve English, Français, and Hispano speaking students. However, the growth does not stop within the state of Florida. With 686 students registered for the Fall 2024 semester, the university is also equipping students across the United States and internationally through its online learning platform. In light of all of this, we celebrate the work BUF has done over the past eighty-one years of “Changing the World Through the Unchanging Word.®”
